1. Word / Phrase: Felony

Meaning: An offense, as murder or burglary, of graver character than those called misdemeanors

Context: While reading an article on violence against women

2. Word / Phrase:Prolific

Meaning: Producing in large quantities or with great frequency

Context:While criticizing my co-worker's work

3. Word / Phrase: Abridged

Meaning: To shorten by omissions while retaining the basic contents

Context: Whie criticizing my co-worker's work

4. Word / Phrase: Altruism

Meaning: To give your time unselfishly

Context: I read it in an article, because that is what i do the most, about violence against women

5. Word / Phrase: Rhetorical

Meaning: Used for, belonging to, or concerned with mere style or effect

Context: I encountered it while again reading another article
